{Saturday 21 March 2015}
Thank you all for a great lesson on Saturday.
You worked really hard and understood everything very well!
Three classmates were absent.
I hope you are feeling better today.
In Saturday's lesson we concentrated on Movers Speaking test parts 1, 2 and 3.
We looked at what the examiner does and what the candidate needs to do.
We saw some examples of the images you find in the test and we learned some of the phrases and words you need to use to talk about the differences you see in the pictures.
In particular, we looked at Part 2, Telling the Story. For candidates, this is often the most difficult part of the Speaking test.
I think you did very well in class.
Here is another example of a story.
Look at the story for ten seconds.
Think of words for the things and actions you can see in the picture.
Don't look for words in your dictionary or on internet. You can't do that in the exam!!
Here is what the examiner says about the first picture.
"These pictures show a story. It's called 'The dolphin's new friend ...' Look at the picture first. Sally and Jim are on the beach with their parents. The children want to go swimming. Now you tell the story."

(Per i genitori: potete trovare qui il file immagine per la storia.)
Your HOMEWORK: tell the story! You can write your ideas if you prefer. I will ask you all to tell the story at our next lesson.
(Per i genitori: vi invito a rivisitare il blog fra qualche giorno per recuperare un esercitazione all'ascolto.)
